Description
NA The CECOM Acquisition Center Washington on behalf of the Program Manager for Close Combat Systems (PM-CCS), intends to purchase ten non-developmental, commercial Buffalo Mine Protected Clearance Vehicle (MPCV) systems to support the U.S. Army's Ground Stan doff Mine Detection System (GSTAMIDS) Block 0 program. The MPCV directly supports the Army's vehicular mounted mine detection systems as a protected platform for greatest crew survivability from which other platforms are teleoperated. The MPCV has an orga nic mechanical capability to investigate marked mine locations and either remove/relocate the mine. The Army intends to negotiate on a sole source basis a fixed price production contract with Technical Solutions Group, Inc., 2081 Hayter St., North Charles ton, SC 29413 to produce ten Buffalo MPCVs of the same make and model as the MPCV tested, down-selected, developed and improved under the U.S. Government's Foreign Comparison Test Program contracts. Additionally, manuals and a support plan will be deliver ed. The contract will include Five One-Year Options for the supply of spare parts, operational and maintenance training, maintenance and contractor technical assistance. See note 22. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U .S.C. 2304(c)(1).
