Description
NA The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center-Natick (USA RMAC-Natick), in support of the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), has a requirement for the United States Marine Corps Combat Hot Weather Boot (MCCHWB) (currently known as the Marine Corps Jungle Desert Bo ot). The boot shall be constructed with PU technology. This requirement is a Full and Open Competitive acquisition with the requirement that any resultant contract(s) to large business(s) shall subcontract acceptable percentages of the total contract amoun t to Small Business(s) and/or Small Disadvantaged Business(s)[Note: Set percentages have not yet been established, an amendment to this notice may be issued to notify potential offerors of any required SB/SDB percentages, if applicable]. The applicable N orth American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 316213, small business size standard is 500 employees. A Draft Purchase Description will posted to the USA RMAC-Natick Website at https://www3.natick.army.mil on or about July 2 , 2002. The MCCHW B Solicitation will be posted to the USA RMAC-Natick website on or about July 9, 2002 with a closing date of August 8, 2002. No faxed proposals will be accepted. The Government anticipates making multiple contract awards (no more than two) for this acquisi tion. The Government is planning a five-year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract(s) with Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) for Material. The minimum guaranteed quantity would be 50,000 pair per year/maximum guarant eed quantity would be 100,000 pair per year. However, as stated above, multiple (no more than two) awards are anticipated, therefore: two contract awards would result in a minimum guaranteed quantity of 25,000 pair per year/maximum guaranteed quantity of 5 0,000 pair per year, per contract. The anticipated base ordering period will be two (2) years (with a First Article Test (FAT) and/or field evaluation at the discretion of the Government) with three (3) one-year optional ordering periods. In accordance wit h FAR Part 5.102(a)(7) all documents associated with this acquisition will be released via the USA RMAC-Natick Homepage. No hard copies will be provided. Firms shall not be reimbursed for any costs associated with proposal preparation. See Note 26.
