- NA 68?Requirements Contract to Provide Liquid Chlorine, Washington Aqueduct Division, Washington, DC. This proposed procurement is unrestricted. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). SIC Code 2819/NAICS 325188; SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD 1,000 EMPLOYEES. Liquid chlorine shall be delivered in one ton steel cylinders each containing 2,000 lbs of chlorine. Chlorine shall be the quality for potable water purification purposes as detailed in the AWWA B301 specifications. The liquid chlorine shall be and not less than 99.5% pure by volume as determined by analyzing the chlorine as set forth in the current AWWA B301 specifications. It shall not contain any hexachloroethane or other wax producing impurity, which will cause fogging of the chlorinator flow meters or gumming of valves and the moisture content shall not exceed 150 ppm or 0.015% by weight. Each delivery shall have a certificate of analysis and/or affidavit of compliance stating the quality of ch lorine complies with all applicable standards of the AWWA B301 specifications. Contract is for a one-year period beginning 1 October 2002 through 30 September 2003. The total estimated amount is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. All responsible sou rces may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. This solicitation will NOT be issued in paper. Contractors? requests for this s olicitation will be performed through ASFI. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all con tractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. Other information regar ding registration can be obtained through CCR Assistance Center (CCRAC) at 1-888-227-2423. Additionally a paper form for registration may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged business contact their cognizant Small Business Administration Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. Without SBA SDB certification, a prime contractor nor a federal agency can receive SDB credit when utilizing non-cert ified SDB contractors/subcontractors.
