Description

Work includes but is not limited to: Placement of structural fill below the building and parking lot in the space previously occupied by the Providence River. Dewatering will be required during construction. Remove portion of existing structural steel and reinforced concrete framing supporting parking area and place structural fill to underside of framing. Construct crawl space below building. Place structural fill up to crawl space floor slab. Install mini-piles to re-support existing framing. Construct reinforced cencrete foundation walls at perimeter of new crawl space. Repair deteriorated structural steel girders. Remove existing bituminous pavement from parking area and repave. Estimated cost range is between $1 million and $5 million. NAICS code is 235710; size standard is $11.5 million. This procurement is open to large and small business under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Test Program. Specifications and drawings will be available on or about 7/12/02.
