- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Simplified procedures as described in FAR 12.3 will be used for acquisition of these commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation PBGC01-RP-02-0025 is being released using simplified acquisition procedures, and is a request for quote (RFQ). The incorporated document and provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2002-07. The Government intends to award a contract on a brand name basis for Tally Systems Corporation software under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c). Contract type will be firm-fixed price. Tally Systems Corporation is the sole manufacturer of the software currently in use in the existing systems. Tally Systems is the manufacturer with the technical capabilities to fulfill the Government's minimum requirements. Contractors shall be certified Tally System's resellers and provide certification to be considered. Award is anticipated no later than July 15, 2002 with a required delivery date of not later than 15 days after award of contract. Software maintenance shall begin upon acceptance by the government. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 511210. The contract line item numbers (CLIN) and descriptions for this brand name mandatory procurement are: ** CLIN 0001 - Qt: 1,800 TS.Census C/S Upgrade from NetCensus Part #: CENUG ** CLIN 0002 - Qt: 500 TS.Census C/S Workstation License Part #: CEWL1 ** CLIN 0003 - Qt: 2,300 TS.Census C/S Workstation SW Maint 1 Yr Initial Purchase Part #: CEM1 ** CLIN 0004 - Qt: Estimated 3 days TS.Census C/S Consulting Services for installation, travel shall be paid in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations Part #: CSSCE ** CLIN 0005 - Qt: 1 year - TS.Census Software maintenance: (a) Unlimited telephone technical support during normal business hours - Monday thru Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (EST) (b) All future releases and upgrades (c) Web Site access for utilities (d) Product Recognition Updates via Web Site -- every 30 days Part #: CE Maint. The quotations, along with completed certifications are due by July 4, 2002. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precedence. FAR 52.212-1 INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS -- COMMERCIAL ITEMS (OCT 2000) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2 EVALUATION-COMMERCIAL ITEMS (JAN 1999) does not apply to this acquisition. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is considered to be most advantageous to the Government, price considered. Offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS with its quote. FAR 52.212-4 CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS -- COMMERCIAL ITEMS (FEB 2002) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes for items other than the brand name Tally System Corporation software listed in this synopsis.
