Description

NA The U.S. Army Communications Command proposes to issue a Broad Agency Announcement on the topic of Army Venture Capital. The Army intends to invest in a 501(c)(3) not for profit venture capital corporation which will in turn seek equity interest in entrep reneurial companies who normally do not do business with the government for the purpose of developing and transitioning technologies of interest to the Army in the areas of power and energy for the individual soldier. The offeror (s) will be required to respond to the BAA with a proposal outlining either the proposed set up of a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit venture capital corporation or set up a separate venture capital fund within an existing 501(c)(3) which meets the requirements of the BAA. All parties i nterested in doing business with CECOM are invited to access, operate and send and receive information from the IBOP at http://abop.monmouth.army.mil. You may access potential CECOM Business Opportunities by simply selecting ?CECOM Comm. & Elec. Com.? und er the heading ?View by Contracting Activity? and then click on ?GO?. Registration for a user ID and password will only be necessary when you are considering the submission of proposal to CECOM through the IBOP. Offerors submitting bids shall follow the instructions, which are stated in the solicitation, which describe time, place and date the bids will be received. See Note 13
