Description

The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from the prequalified contractors listed below for replacement of five existing gas-fired boilers at the P&D Center in Los Angeles, CA, and installation of dedicated gas meters at several facilities in the Los Angeles, CA metropolitan area including Paramount Main Office, Los Angeles Hollywood Station, San Bernardino P&DC and VMF, Garden Grove Main Office, Industry P&DC. Postal operations will continue during period of construction. The work is to be completed in 90 days after notice to proceed. Estimated range is $100,000-$200,000. These are owned facilities except for Garden Grove Main Office which is leased. The proposal must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal for this contract will be 11%. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the authority of the U. S. Postal Service Purchasing Manual, Issue 1 dated 1/31/97. A pre-proposal conference will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on July 2nd at the Los Angeles P&D Center (meet in the lobby).
