Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to procure on a sole source basis with the Integrated Manufacturing Technology Initiative (IMTI), Oak Ridge, TN for membership renewal, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Only One Source Reasonably Available. This is a sole source procurement as no other organization exists which specifically partners with both industry and government with a mission to facilitate technology research and development to benefit the nation's manufacturers and manufacturing community. The consortium specifically provides a forum for NIST's work in manufacturing integration, predictive process engineering, precision measurement technologies, intelligent control systems, and manufacturing standards activities. A fixed price Purchase Order with a one (1) year performance period will be awarded on or about July 8, 202 with a one (1) year option period using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competition. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the closing date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) will not be issued. See Note 26.
