Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.603, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ Reference Number 02-896-2689 is issued under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Quotes are requested. The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-07. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a BRAND NAME requirement for PBS Pro Software Licenses and Technical Support: CLIN 0001, quantity of 100, PBS-3LU01, PBS Pro Software License, UNIX CPUs; CLIN 0002, Quantity of 8, PBS-3LU1B PBS Pro Software license, UNIX CPUs; CLIN 0003, PBS-3LL01 PBS Pro Software License, Linus-32 CPUs; CLIN 0004, Quantity of 100, PBS-3SU01 PBS Pro Annual Technical Support, UNIX CPUs; CLIN 0005, Quantity 8, PBS-3SU1B PBS Pro Annual Technical Support, UNIX CPUs; CLIN 0006, quantity of 8, PBS-3SL01 PBS Pro Annual Technical Support, Linus-32 CPUs. Quotes shall be firm-fixed price per CLIN. FOB Destination to NIST, 100 Bureau Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20899-0001. Desired delivery time is not later than 4 weeks after receipt of order. The Government will award a purchase order to the responsible offeror whose technically acceptable quote represents the lowest overall price. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, and Department of Commerce Agency-Level Protest Procedures Level Above the Contracting Officer, which can be downloaded from the NIST Web Page located at http://www.nist.gov/admin/od/contract/protest.ht apply to this acquisition. Quotations must address each CLIN and be accompanied by a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (downloadable from http://www.nist.gov/admin/od/contract/repcert.htm). All offers should be sent electronically, by fax, or by mail to NIST, Acquisition and Assistance Division, Attn: Laurel A. Carey, Bldg 301, Room B117, Gaithersburg, MD 20899-0001. The NAIC is 421439; size standard is 100 employees or 500 for Government Contracting. Quotations must be received not later than 2 p.m. EST on July 8, 2002.
