- Description
- The U.S. Department of Education is contemplating issuing a modification to Contract No. ED-99-CO-0115 for the Missouri Title VI Bypass contract with Blue Hills Homes Corporation, Kansas City, MO 64110. The purpose of this potential contract modification is to implement the School Renovation Program for private nonprofit elementary and secondary schools in Missouri by providing services to eligible private schools that have a student population of greater than or equal to 40 percent poverty. A private school that is a nonprofit elementary or secondary school with a student population of at least 40 percent poverty, and that is located within the boundaries of a local educational agency (LEA) that has received a grant under this program, may participate under this program. Allowable services to private schools include: asbestos abatement or removal, modifications necessary to meet the standards under the Americans with Disabilities Act or modifications necessary to meet the standards under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The Department of Education may issue this modification on or around July 15, 2002.
