- NSN 2920-01-244-4993, Rotor, Alternator. This solicitation is being reopened to reflect the new item description. Quantity 1014 each. This solicitation is an RFP. This solicitation also contains a 100% option. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive techinical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved sources are Prestolite (68505), and Bombardier Inc (98883). Requests for hard copies of this solicitation will not be accepted. This solicitation will be available on its issue date of 5/13/02 at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described int he solicitation. See Numbered Notes 12 and 26.
