- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the Dept. of Fisheries & Oceans Canada, Institute of Ocean Sciences (IOS) for the Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC). Purpose of proposed action is to 1-D biological/physical model for the ECOHAB project and work closely with NWFSC staff in developing a 3-D biological/physical model. Dr. Angelica Pena of IOS is a biological oceanographer with expertise in coupled biological-physical modeling. She has been developing one-dimensional models of the Northeast sub Arctic, Pacific, and coastal waters of British Columbia. She has also been a collaborative member of several major projects including JGOFS and GLOBEC. No other known sources are available which can provide this service. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $50,000.
