Description
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to solicit industry review and comment on the draft Molecular Sieve Oxygen Concentrator Specification documentation. The Molecular Sieve Oxygen Concentrator removes nitrogen from air and provides the resulting oxygen enriched air as breathing gas to the aircrew member. The draft Specification will be available on or about 21 June 2002 through the NAVAIR homepage at: http://www.navair.navy.mil/. All responsible sources may submit comments and recommendations, which will be considered by the agency. Comments will be accepted until 18 July 2002. On 18 July 2002, the US Navy will host a Specification Review at the 2002 Oxygen Standardization Coordinating Group (OSCG) conference in Las Cruces, NM in which interested vendors may, in addition to submitting written comments, voice their comments directly to US Navy representatives. The purpose of the Specification Review is to exchange data with Industry and to help the Government obtain a better understanding of the technical baseline. The conference will take place 18 July 2002 at the Hilton, 705 South Telshor Blvd., Las Cruces NM. There is no registration fee to attend the Specification Review. To attend the Specification Review, please register by sending an email to Melissa Lopez at LopezMB@navair.navy.mil to inform the Government of the name and the organization of each attendee not later than 11 July 2002. The request shall include point of contact, email address, and telephone number. Responses without an email address or telephone number will not be recognized. Vendors who respond to this synopsis will be notified via email when the conference schedule has been finalized, not later than 15 July 2002. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or an Invitation for Bids (IFB), nor does it commit the Government to issue such a request or invitation. Conference participation with the Government is strictly voluntary and the Government will not provide any reimbursement or otherwise pay for industry expense associated with the Specification Review or for information received in response to this synopsis. Proprietary data will be protected where so designated. All comments shall be submitted electronically to Melissa Lopez at the email address listed above.
