Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ has a requirement for the items A thru C as follows: A.Three (3) each Illuminator,Set Fiber Optic,P/N ALS-6250U-USAF, NIIN 013183712, B.Four(4)each Borescope Set,Flexible(4MM)02, P/N IF4D5-15,NIIN 013243329 and C.One(1)each - Borescope Sideview, P/N IF4S5-15, NIIN 014493865. This equipment is required to provide illumination to inspect for corrosion, cracks, and surface damage to remote and difficult to access sections of the V22 Osprey Tiltrotor Aircraft including; internal engine assembly, auxiliary power plant, empennage, fuselage, nacelles, power plants and wing, for corrosion, cracks, and delamination of surface damage of any kind. Substitutes will not be accepted. A means to measure cracks to determine growth is required. The fiber optic illuminator must provide illumination to a fiberscope and consist of a 250 watt metal halide arc lamp with lamp intensity diaphragm control. The fiber optic illuminator set must inspect all surfaces necessary using the proper optical adapter and bending section of the fiberscope. The illumination set will be used in conjunction with the Borescope P/N: 3091AS100-1. Internal engine assembly visual inspection is required to determine its serviceability at D,I, and O maintenance levels. This may be accomplished through borescope plugs and ports at numerous locations. This RFQ is being issued as a Small Business Set-Aside. A Request For Quote (RFQ) will be emailed or faxed upon request. However, all requests must be received within 15 days. Responses should reference N68335-02-Q-BCD2. The RFQ will be issued on or about 8 July 2002 and will not appear on the NAVAIR homepage. Any contractor seeking award of a Government contract must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contracts cannot be awarded to contractors unless they are registered.
