- The Social Security Administration's previously released market research draft requirement for employee's with disabilities technical support services that was synopsized (at http//:www.fedbizops.gov) under reference number SSA-02-EWD-SSS-2 has been set-aside for award pursuant to the authority at section 8(a) of the Small Business Act [15 U.S.C. 637(a)]. This procurement presented the Social Security Administration (SSA) with a good opportunity to address an important technical requirement in an efficient and cost effective manner. In addition, it meets the statutory requirements for contracting with historically disadvantaged business concerns. After conducting market research, SSA was able to identify an 8(a) concern that demonstrated the capability to provide the necessary services and products. SSA is confident that the contractor team it has selected can meet all of the Government's technical requirements in a professional and satisfactory manner. Therefore, in accordance with Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(a) and 13 CFR 124.506 (a) (4) (b), an offering was made on behalf of the contractor selected to the Small Business Administration, Washington District Office, and, accepted.
