Description
Provide a manned submersible for six dive days in the waters off central and southern California. Total submersible system must consist of a manned submersible, support ship, submersible launch and retrieval system competent crew, scientific laboratory space, and other special equipment. The submersible must have capability of carrying at least one Government observer and one pilot. The submersible must have viewing ports accessible to the Government observer during all portions of the dive. Submersible shall be capable of regularly operating to a depth of 360 meters sea water and be able to operate in contact with the seafloor over rugged substrate that includes boulders, pinnacles and submarine canyon rockwalls.
