- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Old Dominion University, Center for Coastal Physical Oceanography (CCPO) for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Purpose of proposed contract is to analyze meterological and oceanographic data collected in the Antarctic to interpret and model environmental data sets collected yearly by the U.S. Antarctic Marine Living Resources (AMLR) program. Dr. Eileen HOffman of CCPO and its research group are uniquely qualified to accomplish this contract due to extensive experience working, conducting data analyses, and publishing results relative to meteorological data from the Antarctic Peninsula Area. She has been active in collection of oceanographic data as part of the NSF's Long-Term Ecological Research, the GLOBEC Program and with other national and international programs in the area. She has numerous publications relative to investigations of meteorlogical and oceanographic conditions in the Antarctic Peninsula. This is the only notice that will be issued.
