Description
NA POC: Robert C. Tedell, Contracting Officer. The US Army Operations Support Command is conducting a market survey to identify parties interested in submitting offers for the production of 120mm tank training ammunition, specifically M831A1 TP-T (Target Pr actice with Tracer) 120mm Cartridges, PN: 12953554, NSN: 1315-01-369-6612; and M865 TPCSDS-T (Target Practice Cone Stabilized Discarding Sabot with Tracer) 120mm Cartridges, PN: 12900347, NSN: 1315-01-288-5545. A four year FFP multiyear contract is co ntemplated with the anticipated award in the second quarter of FY04. Approximate annual quantities are 60,000 each M831A1s and 188,000 each M865s. M831A1 quantities will decrease to zero in FY07. Deliveries for the first year must begin not later than 9 months after award or October 2004, whichever is later. A system contract award is intended. All firms interested in participating in this acquisition must submit a statement that demonstrates their expertise, experience, and capabilities in 120mm tank ammunition production, process control, and design. The statement should include experience in systems contracting and systems integration; demonstrated annual production quantities; annual production capacity; history of meeting delivery schedules; the q uality system in place; process control techniques applied; expertise in factors which affect ballistic performance to include production processes; capability in ballistic testing and analysis; and expertise to develop improvements in processes, controls, and design to reduce costs. Information submitted may include organization, personnel, and facilities that meet the specific 120mm needs. Submissions must be made electronically and limited to four pages (8 1/2 X 11 inches). Microsoft Word is preferred but not required. Preprinted brochures or literature may accompany the statement. No proprietary information should accompany the response to this sources sought announcement. This is not a Request For Proposal.
