- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation is required by the Lower Colorado River Biological Opinion dated April 12, 2002, issued by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, to demonstrate the restoration of habitat for the endangered Southwestern Willow Flycatcher. Implementation of this requirement is being accomplished at the 46-acre Pratt Agricultural Lease near Yuma, Arizona. The Bureau of Reclamation, Boulder City Regional Office, Boulder City, Nevada, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Loren Pratt Farms, 7775 S. Avenue 19E, Wellton, AZ, 85356, to irrigate and maintain the subject 12 acres of wildlife habitat. Loren Pratt Farms owns and operates the water delivery system at the site, and farms the adjacent 46 acres which is under lease from the Bureau of Land Management's Yuma District Office.
