- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the Lease of Kayper Kaya audible pagers, and Nixxo Piccolo audible digital alpha-numeric pagers, BRAND NAME ONLY, with unlimited monthly airtime and maintenance requirement. This document is being prepared in accordance with the format of FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. The specifications for the brand name only are: Kayper Kaya audible digital numeric pager, quantity 200 each, Color: Black, Kayper kaya audible digital numeric pager, quantity 5 each, Color: Red, Nixxo Piccolo Audible digital alpha-numeric pager, quantity 15 each. The 200 numeric pagers will be programmed with individual pager numbers, and the 5 numeric pagers will not be programmed and will be used as dedicated on-site spares. All 205 pagers must be capable of being programmed to any of the original numeric pager numbers. The contractor shall provide 15 Nixxo Piccolo alpha-numeric pagers, and will be assigned to one pager or call group, 2 of which will also be assigned pager numbers to be activated individually or in the call group. In addition, the contractor shall provide a method of activating the call group by a personal computer, immediately available to the Naval Hospital Guam Chief of the Day. This method must have the capability to send a text message to the call group; the second method is not using a personal computer and should be immediately available to the Naval Hospital Guam Chief of the Day. This method must have the capability to send a text message to the call group. The third method of activating the call group, immediately available to the Naval Hospital Guam Chief of the Day. This method does not require the ability to send a text message to the call group. The contractor shall provide access to the contractor's facility at least 40 hours a week for pagers requiring maintenance and/or repairs may be delivered or picked-up by the Naval Hospital Guam Communications representative. The contractor shall: perform maintenance and/or repairs in a timely manner which is no more than ten working day; notify the Naval Hospital Guam Communications representative within three working days in maintenance and/or repairs cannot be performed in a timely fashion due to circumstances beyond the contractor's control; in the circumstance that a pager cannot be repaired timely, the contractor will provide a replacement pager until the broken pager is repaired. If a pager is deemed unserviceable or beyond economical repair by the contractor, a replacement pager will be provided. All pagers must have the capability to be activated from any touch-tone phone, and must accept any electronic interference from outside sources, and shall not provide any interference to other electronic equipment. The contractor shall also implement and maintain cost and schedule monitoring procedures adequate to provide performance reporting and timely identification and resolution of all problems that effect proper completion of this effort, and monitor the total cost of repair parts and notify the Naval Hospital Guam Communications representative if the total cost of repair parts exceeds $3,000.00. The solicitation number is Request For Quote (RFQ) N68096-03-Q-0009. Please include your business size, CAGE Code, DUNS Number, TAX ID and CCR status. Offerors must submit their quotes based on the information presented herein and it is not anticipated that there will be any RFQ amendments. Quotations must be received in writing. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-07. The requirement is solicited using Total Small Business Set Aside. Anticipated award date is no later than July 31, 2002. This proposed contract action is for a base period of one (1) year from 02 October 1 through 03 September 30, with an option to extend the term of the contract for two (2) additional twelve (12) month period.
