Description
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is seeking to establish a responsible Contractors for a project, "O'Neill House Office Building Demolition," Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 020090. The Tip O'Neill House Office Building is located at 300 New Jersey Avenue, S.E., Washington, D.C. 20515. The work includes demolition of an 8-story office building including but not limited all utility (steam, water, sewer, telephone, and electric service) lines connected to the structure will be excavated and removed from the foundation walls to the main lines. Abatement of all hazardous materials remaining in the building at the time of demolition is included; abatement of all asbestos containing material will be completed by the Government prior to the start of demolition. Because of its proximity to the Capitol building and underground railway structures, the building is to be demolished without use of explosives. In its place will be constructed an asphalt parking lot with lighting, to match exiting. After building has been removed and backfilled, the site will be re-graded and the existing parking lot will be expanded to approximately 265 spaces. In addition, landscaping/screening will be provided between the parking lot and sidewalks. To be included on the list and to be provided a copy of the RFP No. 020090, interested firms must provide a FAX request to: Architect of the Capitol, Procurement Division, Attn Lauren J. Wilson at 202-225-3221. Requests must include company name, contact name, address, telephone number and facsimile number. It is estimated that the value of the work to be performed for the project will be between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
