Description
ELECTRONIC RFP ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS RFP MAY BE ACCESSED THROUGH THE RESEARCH CONTRACTS BRANCH (RCB) HOMEPAGE AT http://rcb.nci.nih.gov INTERESTED OFFERORS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE SOLICITATION AND AMENDMENTS, IF ANY. The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research, (CCR), Neuro-Oncology Branch, (NOB) is soliciting proposals for a contractor that shall provide veterinary and laboratory animal care, assessment, and transportation of mice consistent with standard industry practices. The contractor shall provide housing and care of both immunocompetant rats and mice as well as immunocompromised mice (i.e., nude and SCID mice). This will include microisolator caging, housing facility with ventilation, clean and dirty access, cage washing, and transport capacity consistent AAALAC criteria. An offeror must meet the following Mandatory Qualification Criteria at the time of the receipt of the Final Proposal Revisions (FPR) by the Contracting Officer, in order for the proposal to be considered any further for award: The Mandatory Qualification Criteria are: (1) the offeror?s facility must be located within twenty five (25) miles of the NIH campus, in order for them to provide the requested services within 24 hours; (2). the offeror must demonstrate that they have AAALAC (Association for Assessment Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care) Certification; (3) the offeror must demonstrate that they have OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) Certification; (4) the offeror must have a Bio-safety Level II Certification . This RFP N02-RC-37000-20 will be issued, electronically, on or about July 26, 2002, after publication of this notice. This is a new project. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after the issue date. One, fixed-price contract award is anticipated. No collect calls will be accepted. This is a 100% Small-Business Set-aside.
