Description
Provide all labor, material, equipment and supervision to modernize a total of four elevators and general construction within the associated mechanical spaces. Upon award of the contract the successful party shall assume total preventive maintenance responsibilities for the elevators being modernized and all other existing elevators for a total between 15 to 20 elevators. Work includes modernization of four elevators: P12, P13, P16 & P17 located in building 1 at the East Orange Campus, VA New Jersey Health Care System. General construction, alterations, mechanical, electrical, utility systems, elevator facilities, necessary removal of existing structures and construction of certain other items as required by specifications. Work also includes maintenance services for one year with the option for four renewable option years. Additionally, as an alternate item, work will include full maintenance and repair for all other elevators at the medical center including building 1 elevators 1 through 11, building 2 elevator, building 5 elevator and building 7 elevator. Alternate work shall also have four renewable one year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 235950, with a size standard of 11.5 Million. This is a negotiated procurement and it is open to all business concerns. The Request for Proposal (RFP) including amendments, etc, (if applicable) will be available only through the internet website Fedbizopps.gov. Potential Offeror's will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP and amendments (if any). It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). The RFP will be posted on or about July 15, 2002. Woman-owned, Hubzone, Veteran and Small Disadvantaged Businesses are encouraged to submit an offer.
