- NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following: Line Item No: 1 Quantity: 6 Unit: Ea Description Tescom 26-1100 Series Reg, 303 Sst Body, External Loading, 3/8" Npt Ports, .250 Dia Orifice. Tescom Model No. 26-1121-261. Line Item No: 2 Quantity: 5 Unit: Ea Description Tescom 26-1000 Series Reg, 303 Sst Body, 50-6000 Psi Outlet, 3/8" Npt Ports. Tescom Model No. 26-1022-26. Line Item No: 3 Quantity: 2 Unit: Ea Description Tescom 26-1100 Series Reg, Brass Body, Ext. Loading, 3/8" Npt Ports, .250 Dia. Orifice, Vitron O-Ring & Diaphragm, Monel Trim. This Is Recommended Reg For Oxygen Service. Tescom Model No. 26-1111-261-158. Line Item No: 4 Quantity: 3 Unit: Ea Description Air Loaded Pressure Regulator For Use With The Er3000, 316 Ss Body, 50-6000 Psi Out, 3/8 Npt Ports, 1/4 Vent Port, Cv .06. Tescom Model No. 26-2062a26a220. Line Item No: 5 Quantity: 3 Unit: Ea Description Tescom Electronic Pressure Controller, 4-20 Ma/1-5 Vdc Analog Input, Pid Controller. Tescom Model No. Er3000si-1. Line Item No: 6 Quantity: 1 Unit: Ea Description Communications Cable, Rs-232-Rs485 Converter. Tescom Model No. 85061. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/MSFC intends to procure the items from Hile Controls of Alabama, 311 Applegate Parkway, Pelham, AL 35124 because Tescom is the known manuaturer (and Hile Controls of Alabama is the local distributor) of regulators that have a temperature rating of -40F before freezing. Due to the high pressure ratio and the use of the regulators for combustion experiments, the -40F temperature capability is required for safety reasons. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to Kimberly R. Day not later than 4:30 p.m. local time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
