- NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the following items: (1) 244GHz Signal Source, with the following specifications: Pout >10mw over a ?5GHz band Pin = 1MW at ~30GHz Source to consist of a pre-amplifier and three frequency doublers with output frequencies at ~60GHz, 120GHz, and 244GHz. (2) 380GHz Harmonic Mixer (WR-2.8), with the following specifications: TMIX (DSB) <2000K IF Bandwidth >15GHz Conversion Loss <8db LO Power <3.4Mw Output SWR <3.0 Semiconductor GAAS-On-Quartz intergrated diode No wisker contacts (3) Frequency Doubler, with the following specifications: Output Frequency Range >182GHz to 198GHz Output Power >15Mw Input Power = 80Mw (4) WR-2.8 Detector (260-400GHz), with the following specifications: 1 Sensitivity >500V/W Over full band with no tuners (5) WR-5.1 Detector (140-220GHz), with the following specifications: 1 Sensitivity >1000 V/W over full band with no tuners (6) 640GHz Harmonic Mixer (WR-1.7), with the following specifications: TMIX (DSB) <2100K IF Bandwidth >15GHz Conversion Loss <9db LO Power <3.4Mw Output SWR <3.0 Semiconductor GAAS-On Quartz integrated diode No wisker contacts (7) WR-1.7 Quintupler, with the following specifications: X5 frequency multiplier Output Frequency Range >440-650GHz Output Power over Frequency >0.1mw Input Power <=40Mw The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334419 and 499, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DOC9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 554-77486-0000-901 is on or about June 25, 2002 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about July 5, 2002. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
