- Description
- The U. S. Department of State, Office of Acquisition, will issue a solicitation for the manufacture of Fully Armored Vehicles. These armored vehicles will be used worldwide for the protection of American officials. A portion of the solicitation is classified ?Secret?. All offerors must currently have a Secret facility security clearance issued by the Defense Security Service and Secret safeguarding capability. The manufacturing will be accomplished at the contractor?s facilities and shipped to the Department of State facilities located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. It is anticipated the contract will have a 12 month base year with 4 one-year options. The government contemplates an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for this requirement. Only written requests will be accepted and the offeror must reference Solicitation Number S-LMAQM-02-R-0034, Fully Armored Vehicles and include evidence of a current Secret clearance with Secret safeguarding capability as well as Cage Code. The Department of State will verify the information with the Defense Security Service. Offers must be submitted in English and US dollars. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Facsimile requests for the solicitation are acceptable at 703-875-5272. If the Government awards four or more contracts at least three will be set-aside for small business.
