Description

NA The Army requires a firm fixed price construction contract to Enhance Motor Pool, NG Area, Fort Stewart, Georgia. This job shall involve constructing a 300 foot by 200 foot crush & run motor pool across from building 10529. This job shall also include gr ading, hauling fill to promote proper drainage of new motor pool area as indicated on drawing PC-1462. This job shall also include installation of 500 LF of FE-7 security fence with a 20 foot opening double swing gate. This job shall include but not be l imited to the following tasks: (1) Perform all excavation, backfill, grading and compaction necessary for the construction of a 300 by 200 foot crush & run motor pool. Area for new motor pool is to be graded and filled as indicated on drawing PC-1462: (2 ) Motor pool area is to be constructed of crushed stone 10? thick. Compaction shall be 6? and final 4? with final grade draining from north to south; (3) Stone crusher run will have an aggregate size of 1 ? inch max gradation. Stone shall comply with all applicable GA. DOT specs; (4) Install 500 feet of FE-7(2.1m)h chain link security fence on south and east side of new area. Install a 20 foot opening double swing gate. See sketch 1462 for location of gate;(5) All fencing materials shall be standard FE construction, i.e., 7? high by 9 gauge fabric, 2 3/8? OD line posts, 3? OD corner/termination posts, top and bottom tension wire, three strands of barbwire. Gates and all associated hardware shall be of the heavy industrial variety; (6) Verification of al l dimensions and elevations shall be the responsibility of the contractor; (7) The contractor shall be responsible for securing a valid excavation permit through the DPW Inspection Branch; (8) INSTALL ONE 10 K.V.A. TRANSFORMER ON EXISTING C-4 POLE AS INDI CATED ON THE DRAWINGS. THE TRANSFORMER SHALL BE 14,400 TO 120/208 VOLT, SINGLE PHASE, WITH TAPS 2% ABOVE AND BELOW THE PRIMARY RATED VOLTAGE; (9) INSTALL LIGHTNING ARESSTOR AND LOAD BREAK CUTOUT ON THE PRIMARY SIDE OF THE TRANSFORMER. THE PRIMARY TAP SHA LL BE MADE WITH HOT LINE CLAMPS ON STIRRIPS; (10) INSTALL #2 AL. TRIPLEX FROM THE TRANSFORMER TO ALL OF THE LIGHTING POLES WITH APPROPRIATE HARDWARE; (11) INSTALL 6 LIGHTING POLES, THE POLES SHALL BE 45?, CLASS 3 WOOD POLES WITH A #4 BARE COPPER GROUND FRO M THE NUETRAL TO A l0?X ?? COPPER GROUND ROD AT EACH POLE AND AT THE TRANSFORMER POLE; (12) CORNER POLES SHALL BE GUYED AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWING; (13) THE LIGHTS SHALL BE 400 WATT H.P.S. WIDE ANGLE ROADWAY LIGHTS. THE LIGHTS SHALL BE INSTALLED ON 6? AR MS AND SHALL BE OPERATED INDIVIDUALLY ON PHOTO CELLS. THE VOLTAGE SHALL BE MULTI-TAP TO INCLUDE 208 VOLT; and (14) REMOVE THE EXISTING FLOOD LIGHT AND CONDUIT ON THE EXISTING POLE IN THE AREA AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWING. SIC Code is 1794, NAICS Code is 2 35990 and the size standard is $11,500.00. Performance time is 90 calendar days. Project is UNRESTRICTED. All responsible businesses may submit a proposal that will be considered. Magnitude of project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Paper copie s of this project will not be available.
