Description
This requirement will be negotiated solely with Exotic Electro-Optic, 3650 Briggs Road, Murrieta, California 92563. The effort includes Fabrication and Testing of an Infrared Window Assembly consisting of fabrication of the window, fabrication of the flange, and testing of the assembly. The window and assembly shall meet the following specifications: Long wave IR Window-(1)Material: Zinc Sulfide (or ZnSe, pending analysis currently being completed; (2) Thickness: 18 mm (pending ongoing analysis); (3) Clear Aperture: 248mm; (4) Diameter: 258 mm ?0 /+10 (dependent on mounting); (5) Flatness: 4wave (wavelength=633nm) per surface; (6) Differential Flatness: Sum of flatness of both sides less than equal to 1wave (meniscus); (7) Band width of interest: 5-10 microns; (8) Anti Reflective Coating: 5-10 microns; and (9) Scratch and Dig: 60-40. Mounting-Flange: Material: Aluminum 5056BD qu ality class: H12. The window and flange shall be assembled and tested to ensure the integrity of the assembly. A failure probability of 1 per million is required over the test envelope (18psi at 20 Degrees Celsius, 18psi at 30 Degrees Celsius, 3psi at ?56 Degrees Celsius, and 3psi at 17 Degrees Celsius). The window assembly is required to be delivered to NSWCDD no later than 1 October 2002 for sensor testing at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC). The sensor is to arrive the first week in October 2002. Testing starts the second week of October 2002. Interested parties other than Exotic Electro-Optic's must be able to demonstrate in writing by 5 July 2002, their capability to provide the requested effort.
