- Requirement is for overhaul of reparable, B-1B Load Arrestors NSN 1680-01-181-4175MH (PN 1171-3). It will also act as a support member preventing backward tilt of the seat carriage under wind loading conditions during seat ejections. The arrestor consists of a self-contained hydraulic cylinder assembly, an internal piston and check valve designed to permit fluid flow past a piston at movement rates of 1 inch/sec in either direction (normal seat adjustment) and in retraction mode at a rate of 72 in/sec. The load arrestors must be overhauled when they leak fluid. Type of Contract: one-year, FFP requirements contract with three, one-year options.
