Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division China Lake, CA intends to procure on a competitive basis among Small Business Defense Logistics Information Service Joint Certification Program Certified Contractors painting and coating for a quantity of one (1) First Article and eighty-eight to one hundred three (88-103) BLU-116 penetrator cases utilizing a Firm Fixed Price Contract. Unfinished penetrator cases will be provided as Government Furnished Equipment for the requirement. The most probable quantity is ninety-five (95) units. The actual amount within the range shall be selected prior to award. Optional quantities including ranges of 160-210, 50-100, and 1-17 units will be included in the solicitation. The successful offeror shall be required to pick up, coat, paint, inspect, and deliver the units in accordance with a Statement of Work (SOW) and Drawing Package. One First Article Unit shall be produced and tested prior to 18 weeks after contract award. First Article Inspection (FAI) tests shall include verification of all applicable requirements and dimensional features defined in the Drawing Package. Various delivery times apply and will be specified in the SOW. The Request for Proposal shall be issued on or about July 15, 2002 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home page at: http://www.nawcwpns.navy.mil/~contract/homepubl.htm. The Drawing Package will not be available on-line and will be made available only upon request to offerors certified in the Defense Logistics Information Service Joint Certification Program. Information regarding this program can be obtained at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp The offeror is responsible for requesting a hardcopy of solicitation portions not on-line in sufficient time to permit receiving the hardcopy via U.S. Mail. Proposals will be evaluated and award will be made to the lowest cost technically acceptable proposal. All responsible offerors will be considered for award. See Note 1. See Note 26.
