Description

The following is a summary and not exhaustive description: Renovate an existing building which was a bowling alley. Refurbish the brick and CMU block exterior. Work includes asbestos abatement of certain materials as identified in the report. It includes but is not limited to roof materials, and some floor materials. A complete roof replacement from the deck up is required and replace any damaged structural elements. A new three position dock will be added. Interior will be remodeled to a carrier annex with ADA compliance in all features, toilets, offices, and etc. All new electrical will be installed as well as new lighting, new plumbing and fixtures, new ceilings, new HVAC, new wall finishes, new concrete flooring, doors and hardware. A camera surveillance system and Intrusion Detection System will be part of the finished facility features. There is minor landscaping, one flower/bush bed. All paving will be overlaid with asphalt or replaced with concrete as shown on drawings. New perimeter lighting, fencing and gates around the back lot as shown on the drawings. Construction cost is estimated between $1,700,000 and $2,100,000 with completion of project within 280 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The pre-proposal conference is scheduled at the facility, 2743 Franklin Road, Roanoke VA, @10 AM. Plans and specifications will be available on or about July 5th, at $125 per set, Non-refundable, referencing Sol. #362575-02-A-0014.
