Description
PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The work includes furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and materials for the replacement of the structures for jetty lights, Number?s 1 & 2 at Little River Inlet and lights, Number?s 1 & 2 at Mullers Inlet, off the coast of South Carolina. The work will involve the demolition of the old structures and the installation of new light structures. The new light structures will consist of typical 5-pile metal structures identical to the existing. The work must be carried out by a specialized contractor, due to depth limitations in the area. The work is located at Little River Inlet and Mullers Inlet, South Carolina. This action is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate their interest to the Contract Specialist, in writing, as early as possible but to be not later than 15 calendar days of this notice. As a minimum, the following information is required: (a) copy of the certificate issued by the SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern, (b) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (c) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts and telephone numbers and (d) provide evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns by close of business 15 calendar days from the date of this notice, this solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, large and small business concerns, as well as HUBZone concerns can bid on this project. THIS PACKAGE WHEN READY WILL BE AVAILABEL IN ITS ENTIRETY AT HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV UNDER THE SOLICITATION NUMBER Any Amendments to this solicitation will be posted electronically at this website. No telephone or written requests shall be accepted. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235910 with a three-year average annual receipts of $11.5 million. Bid quarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. The contract performance time is 45 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation package will be available in July 2002. *****
