Description
The Air Force Pentagon Communications Agency (AFPCA) is requesting information for a potential acquisition effort to provide a full range of unclassified and classified mission essential Information Technology (IT) services to Department of Defense users in the National Capital Region (NCR). The customer-base is estimated at 15,000 users in the Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, National Military Command Center (NMCC) and the leadership of other government agencies interfacing with DoD. The majority of the offices supported are located in Rosslyn, Tysons Corner, Crystal City, Skyline, Ballston, Bolling Air Force Base, and the Pentagon. AFPCA provides professional, customer-focused teams providing new IT capabilities and customer service and support for the operations and maintenance of automated data processing equipment and supporting infrastructure to include: file, print, email, database, web services, and applications; security services: antivirus program, account management, domain management; communication security; and the configuration management of the common operating environment integrating over 1050 software applications. In addition, AFPCA provides voice services, video teleconferencing, cable installation, software consultation and planning, commercial off-the-shelf integration, custom software development, lifecycle support services, and a 24/7 helpdesk. Also, AFPCA maintains a warehouse capability to stage equipment. AFPCA provides engineering solutions and program management for all NCR IT requirements. These services are provided while maintaining network security (information assurance) for the Air Force Pentagon network, ensuring the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the information critical to overall Air Force operations. AFPCA serves as Executive Agent for the NMCC effectively operating and maintaining Command, Control, Communications, audiovisual systems, and secure facilities directly supporting the Secretary of Defense, Chairman Joints Chiefs of Staff, Air Force Chief of Staff, and other key offices. They develop, engineer, and implement IT and facility solutions for the Joint Staff supporting the NMCC, National Airborne Operations Center, and the Defense Red Switch Network. Request contractors interested and capable of performing these functions submit the following information: name and address of company, company point of contact, telephone number, fax number and email addresses, and identify if small, disadvantaged, HUBZone, women owned, or 8(a). For purposes of this Request For Information (RFI), the SIC Code is 7373 and the corresponding NAICS code is 54151. The capability package must be clear, concise, complete, and submitted to the contracting officer noted above no later than 16 Jul 02. Please limit the capability package to 20 pages. Your statement of capabilities must include, as a minimum, the following items: 1) Contract references in the past five years relevant to the requirement to include: contract number, agency supported, whether or not you were a prime or subcontractor, period of performance, original contract value, final or current contract value, technical monitor and phone/fax number, POC with current phone/fax number, and a brief description of the effort. 2) Company profile: number of employees, annual sales history, locations, security clearances, and DUNS number, etc. Currently, all incoming mail sent to Bolling AFB is treated at a separate facility, which can delay delivery. It is highly recommended that packages be sent via Federal Express, Airborne Courier or email to ensure timely delivery. POINT OF CONTACT: 11CONS/LGCN (Mr. A.E.
