Description

NA This solicitation is for a five-year, firm-fixed-price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract for componants of the AN/AVS-7(V) Heads Up Display (HUD), repair, maintenance and sustainment of existing fielded systems, and upgrades of Central Processor Communications (CPM) Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) to the Health Utilization and Monitoring System (HUMS) approved version. The HUD is a sensory gathering system for helicopters that takes various analog and digital aircraft sensor information fr om the aircraft, directs the information into a data accumulator box, converts the information to symbology and transmits the information to an optical display unit that is attached to the AN/AVS-6 Aviator's Night Vision Imaging System (ANVIS) goggle. The Government intends to issue this solicitation on a sole source basis to Elbit, Fort Worth (EFW). EFW is the developer of this item, owns the technical data and is the only known source with the requisite knowledge to produce spare parts and repair fielde d systems. See note 22.
