Description

NA The work of this project consists of various concrete repairs at the Blackwater Dam in Webster, New Hampshire. Repair tasks include cleaning of about 500 square feet (SF) of concrete surfaces, sounding about 34,500 SF of concrete surfaces for deteriorated areas, repairing about 200 linear feet of cracks in concrete surfaces, placing about 400 SF of 6-inch thick dowelled concrete facing, repairing about 2,600 SF of spalled areas on concrete surfaces, sealing about 32,000 SF of concrete surfaces with cementi tious coating, sealing about 2,500 SF of concrete surfaces with polyurethane coating, and sealing cracks and joints in concrete surfaces with elastomeric sealant or polyurethane chemical grout. Some combination of these repairs shall be performed at vario us areas of the dam including the west approach wall, the east spillway end/abutment wall, the vertical and horizontal surfaces of the five tiers on the downstream portion of the spillway, the exterior and interior of the equipment room and stairwell, port ions of the non-overflow spillway, the inside of the three conduits, and other portions of the spillway. The insides of the three conduits are permit required confined space. Prospective bidders, subcontractors, and plan rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet at http://www.nae.usace.army.mil. Registration instructions and the media by which the solicitation will be issued are available at this Internet site. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the New England District. Applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 235710 with a size standard of $12,000,000.00. This solicitation is unrestricted pursuant to Pu blic Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
