Description

NA Project work involves a 1.4 Mile segment of the Dade County Shore Protection Project located between Sunny Isles and Bakers Haulover Inlet. The area to be renourished is approximately 2,600 feet long and located at the north end of the park. Approximatel y 114,000 cubic yards of material is required for the beach. The project beach will have a 120-foot berm width from a baseline at El. 9.0 MLW with a foreshore slope of 1 vertical on 10 horizontal. An ebb tidal shoal off Bakers Haulover Inlet is to be used as the borrow source. The distance between the borrow source and the beach fill area is approximately 4,000 to 8,000 feet. Performance period for this work is 60 days from Notice to Proceed. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 . This is an unrestricted procurement. All businesses are encouraged to participate. There will be a price evaluation preference for identified Hubzone small business concerns that comply with the requirements in the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19. 1307. Invitation For Bid will be issued on or about 16 July 2002 and open on or about 30 August 2002. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Bidders will be provided a CD-ROM at no cost.
