Description
UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT SEEKS LAND FOR OFFICE BUILDING Requirement: The United States Government is performing a market analysis to identify potential land sites of approximately 6-8 acres to construct 122,000 rentable square feet of office space for the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service within the following delineated area, in ATLANTA, GA: Beginning at the intersection of South Decatur Beltline (Ansley and Piedmont Park Line) and Ponce De Leon; then Southeasterly along the Norfolk Southern Decatur Beltline until it intersects with the CSX Railroad: thence East along the CSX Railroad to the Reynoldstown turnaround; thence Southerly, then Southwesterly, Northwesterly, and Northernly (a semicircular route) along the CSX Railroad until intersecting with another CSX Railroad Line (immediately North of Marietta Street); thence Easterly along the CSX Railroad to the intersection of the Norfolk Southern Railroad (this point will coincide with the intersection of Ashby Street, CSX and Norfolk Southern Railroad if Ashby Street were extended North); thence Northeasterly along the Norfolk Southern Railroad (Atlanta to Washington mainline) intersecting Peachtree RD NE, then North on Peachtree RD NE to GA 400; then North on GA 400 to 285; East /Southeast on 285 to Lavista RD NE; then West on Lavista RD NE to Briarcliff RD NE, then Southwest on Briarcliff RD NE to Ponce De Leon RD NE, then West on Ponce De Leon RD NE until it intersects with South Decatur Beltline (Ansley and Piedmont Park Line) which is the Point Of Beginning. Offerors of the sites must be willing to grant a no-cost, assignable option to the Government for purchase by the successful developer at the time the lease construct project is awarded. The sales price of the selected site should be at or below the market rate as supported by an independent appraisal. Sites which may be donated to the Federal Government are solicited as well as those for sale. Lease award is estimated to be September 2003 with an occupancy date of February 2005. This project is subject to congressional approval. If you have a site that meets or exceeds the above requirements contact this office by July 30, 2002.
