Description
Scope of work consists of but is not strictly limited to , furnishing all labor, material and equipment necessary to replace the existing Fire Alarm System completely to meet NFPA, Life Safetly and "ADA requirements in accordance with the drawings and specifications provided. Work will be performed at the Paul Findley Federal Building 600 East Monroe Street, Springfield, IL. Contract completion time is 270 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. This procurement is open to all business concerns. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 235310 with a size standard of $12 million. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $500,000. This is a negotiated, best value procuement. Specifications will be available on or about July 17, 2002. GSA, PBS, Property Management Division, Contract Services Branch, will no longer issue construction solicitations via the Federal Business Opportunities website, http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The subject solictiations includes Sensitive But Unclassified building information (SBU). For reasons of security and before release of SBU information, the requester must complete and sign the attached Document Security Notice to Prospective Bidders/Offerors. In addition, the following information must be submitted and or provided by the requester via the Notice. 1.) Copy of company business license 2.) Company's Dun and Bradstreet number 3.) Vaild Tax Identification Number. For persons picking up the SBU documents in person, a valid picture state driver's license is required. The Notice shall be submitted to the point of contact cited herin. NO TELEPHONIC OR E:MAIL REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED, however, facsimiles will be accepted. After verification of the preceding information, the requester will be designated as an authorized user and a copy of the solicitation will be released in compact disc (CD) to the requester. Potential offerors must ensure that request include the address to which the CD is to be sent. All requests must be submitted to: General Serices Administration, Attn: Joel E. Lulinski, 230 S. Dearborn Str. Room 3324, Chicago, IL 60604 or to facsimile number 312-886-1986. Potential offerors will be responsible for monitoring the website for amendment(s) if any, to the solicitation. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be August 19, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. (CST). All offers are to be submitted to General Services Administration, Attn: Christine Donovan, 509 W.
