Description

The National Imagery and Mapping Agency intends to award a sole source contract to Core Software of McLean, Virginia, for the purchase of Image Sat International raw imagery data, down-linking services, and derived products. The authority for this procurement is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(3). A new contract is necessary to enable NIMA to provide additional imagery to support natural disaster relief, mission critical operations, and special operations. This award will provide an additional source for better than two meter resolution. This is a synopsis of intent to award a firm-fixed price indefinite delivery Indefinite quantity contract under FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responsible sources that are interested in this procurement may respond by providing clear and convincing information that identifies their ability to provide the product. All responses must be in writing and must be mailed or faxed by NLT 3:00 P.M. EST 09 July 2002 to the National Imagery and Mapping Agency, ATTN Johnetta Williams, ACM-E/D-5, 4600 Sangamore Road, Bethesda, MD 20816-5003. The fax number is (301)227-4793.
