Description
Notice of intent to negotiate a firm fixed price award sole source contract for Non-personal services in support of the DoDDS-Europe Early Childhood Initiatives. This includes subject matter expert, transportation and cost of materials between 16 September 2002 through 15 September 2003 which will include but not be limited to the following topics: Theory of Early Childhood, Brain Research for the early learner, Appropriate environment, Center based learning, Flexible groupings, Daily Schedule, What should I look for during an observation?, How do I help move my teachers along the continuum of the DoDEA Early Childhood Program Standards? And What does appropriate assessment look like in an EC classroom? Provide early childhood education resources on current practices and research, Be available for questions from the audience so those individuals may voice their concerns and requests, Provide expert consultation via email and telephonically to ECI Leaders, EC Liaisons, and Administrators. Subject Matter Expert (SME) will provide an interactive module for those administrators unable to attend the session. The module will be IBM compatible in CD format. The training will commence in the month of September 2002 with continuance throughout the duration of the contract. Dates will be arranged with the consultant and district via the Instructional System Specialists for Early Childhood. Minimum notice of 15 days and maximum notice of 30 days prior to scheduled training will be arranged with the consultant. If the consultant is not available during the month of September, then a module may be developed in September as a follow-up to the actual training. The requirement requires up to 15 days of training within Europe. Any firms desiring consideration are requested to fully identify their interests and capabilities within 10 days of the date of publication of this synopsis.
