Description

The U.S. Postal Service is Re-soliciting proposals for the Modernization of Passenger Elevators P1-P6 at the Morgan P&D Center, New York, NY. Modernization of these elevators will be performed under a Design/Build Contract. Work includes the modernization of hoistway equipment, controls and motor drive, fixtures, cab interiors and miscellaneous architectural, mechanical and electrical upgrades associated with the elevator modernization. As part of this contract the successful bidder will be required to maintain the existing equipment during the modernization and for a period of one year after the Final Acceptance of the work. Offeror must be an Elevator Contractor primarily engaged in the construction or modernization of elevators for a period of five (5) years with the successful completion of three (3) Elevator Rehabilitation/Modernization projects of similar size and scope in an occupied facility with a minimum of seven (7) stories. Technical submission must be submitted in a separate envelope. Attendance at Pre-proposal Conference on July 9, 2002 at 1:30 PM is mandatory.
