Acquisition is for 1740-01-367-9485YW, U-30 Tow Tractor primarily used for towing C-5 military aircraft on US Air Force installations. Complete commercial item description will be available at http://pkec.robins.af.mil Item 0001, Color #24052, OD Green. Item 0001AA, same as item 0001, Quantity: 2. Item 0001AB, same as item 0001, except California Emission is required, Quantity: 1. Item 0001AC, same as item 0001, Quantity: 2. Item 0002, Various Data requirements. Two, one year options will be solicited using a quantity range of 1-10 each. 2. The vehicle furnished must meet the "commercial item" definition, as specified in FAR 2.101, as of the award date. The offeror/contractor shall provide two copies of their commercial descriptive catalogs with their offer, as specified in Clause I-106. The offeror/contractor shall identify any/all variations from compliance with or modifications to the performance requirements of the CID or the referenced documents. 3. Estimated Milestones: Draft RFP (O/A 29 JUN 01), Final RFP (O/A 20 JUL 01), Receipt of proposals (31 AUG 01), Award (30 NOV 01). 4. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program manager or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
