- PART: U.S. GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENTS SUBPART: CLASSCOD: Install Arena Seats SUBJECT: 71 SOL: F05611-02-T-0053 DUE: 03 JUL 02 1:00 PM Mountain Time POC: Carol Thompson, 719-333-4361 or Beth Moronese, 719-333-6677 In accordance with FAR 12.603(c)(2): (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation F05611-02-T-0053 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 10-6. (iv) This RFQ is 100% Small Business Set-Aside (500 or less employees) for SIC Code 2531 (Furniture w/Installation) and for NAICS code 337127. (v) Line Item 0001: The U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs has a requirement for the purchase and installation of Arena Seats at the Clune Arena. (vi) The Government requires the Patriot arena chair, SN 313131, narrow envelope version of luxury seat that will properly fit into a 30? shallow platform. Platform (row) length is 23?6? and platform height is 14-3/4. Individual padded seats are 21? wide and should be mounted on the riser. Color shall be Irwin 101 TRUE BLUE PATRIOT 3000 for powder coat and plastics, and IRWIN ACADEMY (SHIRE) for fabric. Contractor shall remove existing bench seating in sections L13 and L15 (each section consists of 10 rows each, with numbered bench seats per row). The bench seating shall be replaced with individual padded seats with cup holders as specified above. New seats must match seats that are currently in Section L14 exactly. Old bench seating shall be hauled out to a contractor-provided rolloff dumpster and disposed of at dumpsite. Contractor shall remove old anchors, patch holes, and install new padded seats with cup holders and number plates on all seats/rows, to include four handicap seats. The handicap seats shall have stickers (eg handicap log stickers) and rotating armrest. Cup holders, number plates, stickers, and rotating armrests MUST MATCH existing like items in Section L14. (vii) Services shall be performed in accordance with the best commercial practices. Contractor shall perform work Monday thru Friday, during the hours of 7:30 am thru 4:30 pm. Work must be accomplished and site cleaned prior to 1 NOV 2002. (viii) FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix) FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be based on low bid/technically acceptable. (x) Offerors should include their DUNS Number and Tax ID Number, and be CCR and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) compliant. (xi) FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. (xii) Interested businesses shall include their DUNS, Cage, and Tax Identification Numbers, and be Electronic funds Transfer and Central Contractor Registration compliant. FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-4, FAR 52.212-5, and FAR 52.225-3 apply to this acquisition. Offerors must acquaint themselves with the regulations concerning Commercial Item acquisition contained at FAR 12. Offerors not in possession of the referenced clauses may obtain them at http://www.farsite.hill.af.mil. Department of Labor Wage Determination 94-2079 (REV 23) for the Colorado Springs area applies. Required Wage Rates are listed at http://www.safaq.hq.af.mil/contracting/laborstandards. (xiii) Not Applicable (xiv) Not Applicable (xv) It is anticipated that a non-competitive sole-source solicitation will be issued to the Irwin Seating Company; distributor for Colorado (Academic Specialties Inc, 5667 W. Sixth Ave, Lakewood CO 80214) under U.S.C. 304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302.1 unless additional sources submit a proposal. All responsible sources are invited to submit their (xv) proposals before 1:00 PM, 3 JUL 2002.
