Description
Wackenhut Services Inc. (WSI) operates the Nonproliferation and National Security Institute (NNSI) in Albuquerque, New Mexico under contract to the Department of Energy. WSI is seeking sources to provide a fully comprehensive student transportation services program. The Subcontract will include a one-year base period with three one-year options. This program is envisioned to include student transportation from lodging sites to classrooms located in and around Albuquerque, New Mexico, as well as evening dining transportation, shopping tours, and cultural tours. Potential bidders should be able to exhibit the capability to administer the transportation needs for 1 to 10 classes (30 to 300) students with different transportation destinations and requirements on a 24/7 basis. Student transportation at the NNSI is currently operating 24/7 with 2 to 6 classes on the ground at any given time. We anticipate escalation of 10-15% per year over the next four years. Bidders will be required to provide business and program plans detailing the management approach to be implemented as part of their program as well as the ability to service multiple locations and a listing of the assets available to the program. WSI anticipates the solicitation to be issued in July, with a site survey and bidders conference within two weeks. The proposal will be due 30 days after the site survey and performance to begin 1 October 2002. Qualified firms desiring consideration must request to be placed on the bidders list via snail-mail or e-mail to the aforementioned POCs no later than 7/09/02, verbal requests will not be accepted. The request shall include Company Name, address, telephone & fax numbers, point of contact and e-mail address.
