Description
The VA Medical Center, 1011 Honor Heights Drive, Muskogee, OK, 74401, is issuing a solicitation for Specialized Medical Resource Sharing Agreement for Primary Care Services, (Community Based Outpatient Clinic). Services shall be for 800 current veteran users residing in the six counties of Southeastern Oklahoma: Atoka, Coal, Hughes, Latimer, Pittsburg, and Pushmataha. This solicitation is also to include two additional counties: LeFlore and McCurtain, with a planned, controlled expansion of enrollment to 1400 total veteran users. The following services are included in the solicitation: Primary, post hospital care and mental health care services to include screening, medication management, individual and Substance Abuse counseling. Available space shall be provided to accommodate quarterly Nutrition Counseling and other VA services as deemed necessary. Routine radiology services shall be in place and include mammograms and ultrasound studies. All laboratory work shall be done by the CBOC and reported the VA computer system (VISTA). Urgent first fill prescriptions to treat acute conditions will be provided through the contract clinic utilizing drugs listed in the VA formulary (10 day supply except antibiotics; full course therapy). All other prescriptions shall be the responsibility of the VAMC Consolidated Mailout Pharmacy (CMOP) program. Services of the CBOC shall be made available for primary care and mental health care five (5) days a week, Monday through Friday during normal clinic operating hours. Responsibilities and operating procedures of the contractor are in the Provider Handbook, which is part of the solicitation package. A pre-solicitation meeting will be held for questions and answers, July 12, 2002, at 1:00pm, in the Director?s large conference room in Building 53. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 621999 and the size standard is 5 M.
