- Description
- The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL intends to solicit and award a Firm-Fixed Price, Sole Source contract to ADCO Companies LTD, DBA ADCO Boiler Co., 941-A Butler Dr., Mobile, AL 36693, (334) 666-1120. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number is F33TSP21580300, and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 33319, with a small business standard size of 500 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. The requirement is for One (1) each Quickwater Direct Contact Hot Water Heater with the following specifications: Water Supply: Deionized to 18 Million ohms/cm, 65 deg F, 0-110 gpm at 40 psig. Hot Water Heater Requirements: All 316 Stainless Steel Wetted metal components. Any other wetted components must be compatible with deionized water. Water Out Required: 120 deg F to 180 deg F (controllable to +/- 5 deg F), 0-110 gpm. Holding Tank: Minimum 900 gallons capacity, vented to atmosphere, with integral level and temperature sensing, two 4 inch Class 150 Flanged outlet ports for pump suction(two pumps supplied by the Government), two 3 inch Class 150 Flanged inlet ports. Tank level and temperature must be provided as 4-20ma output signals which can be used by separate Government supplied equipment. Tank must have internal baffles (if required) to allow tank level sensor to compensate for up to 300-gpm recirculation to the tank from the 3 inch inlet port. Any recirculating pumps and associated plumbing and controls required to indefinitely maintain the desired tank temperature must be included. System must have the means to compensate for additional heat load into holding tank from two Government supplied recirculating pumps (40 hp, 30 hp). Natural Gas burner(s) (not electric heating). Outdoor Service: System must be suitable for outdoor operation. All control panels or electrical junction boxes must be weatherproof. Installation will be located adjacent a vehicle parking lot. Combustion products from the vent stack must not be detrimental to vehicles or personnel if wind carries fallout toward parking lot. Stack: System must include a 316 Stainless Steel vent stack(s) for combustion products from the natural gas fired burner(s). System will sit outside adjacent to a two-story building . Stack must raise minimum of six feet above roof of second floor. Stack must be fitted with rain cap at top. Cost must include delivery and erection of all system components (including interconnecting plumbing and wiring) except Government supplied plumbing to the inlet/outlet ports on the holding tank. Government will provide all necessary electrical, water, and natural gas utilities to within ten feet of the system. This item is to be delivered FOB Destination to Eglin AFB, Florida.
