- NA WAREHOUSE SHELVING. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small business. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with add itional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Parts 12 and 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-07. It is the contractor?s responsibilit y to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. Offerors must provide descriptive literature to this office for evaluation prior to close out date stated above. Offerors are encouraged to include information regarding these evaluation factors in their quotes. All line items will be awarded on a single purchase order. Interested offerors are requested to submit a quotation on this requirement to: Operational Contracting Office, 4850 Leigh Avenue, Fort Smith, AR 72903-6096 or FAX to: (479) 573-5825. Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (website: http://www.ccr.gov/) or by calling and registering prior to receiving award: (888) 227-2423. Contractor/vendor will submit a completed copy of the FAR Part 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items (Oct 2000). Contract Terms and Conditions for Commercial Items, FAR Part 52.212-4 applies to this acquisition, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Status or Executive Orders for Commercial Items, FAR Part 52.212-5 applies to this acquisition. FAR Part 52.232-33, Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer Payment (Aug 1996) is incorporated by reference. Delivery will be quoted as FOB Destination to Fort Smith, AR. Warranty: Standard commercial. Business size standard: 500 or fewer employees; the Standard Industrial Code (SIC): 2542 and/or the North American Industry Classificati on System (NAICS): 337215. Quote must be received no later than by close of business, 11:00 AM CDT, and may be received by FAX not later than the response date above. FAR Part 52.212-1, Instructions of Offerors for Commercial Items, and FAR Part 52.212-2, Evaluation for Commercial Items, apply to this solicitation and will be used to evaluate items as consistent with below stated description of requirements. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offe ror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered The Government reserves the right to evaluate technical compliance/delivery capability and make a best value decision. This could result in award to other than the lowest price offer. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS: Item 0001: Cantilever Style Racks: Racks will be 12 feet tall and bear a minimum of 11,000 pounds per side. Arms will be 48 inches long and bear 2000 pounds each. The area will require one (1) single-sided run of 37.5 feet, and one (1) double-sided run of 37.5 feet. The double-sided run will have four (4) support arms not including the base. The single-sided run will have three (3) support arms not including the base. All s helves including the base will have wire mesh shelving for storing anything from boxes to pallets. The overhead heating system as well as vertical columns will be taken into account and worked around. The aisle between the single-sided run and the double-s ided run will be a minimum of 11 feet wide. The aisle on the other side of the double-sided run will be as wide as possible considering the pallet racking descr ibed below. The wire mesh shelving may require cutting in order to accomplish this. Item 0002: Pallet Racking: Pallet racks with wire mesh shelving. Racks will be 12 feet tall and bear a minimum of 3000 pounds per shelf. Vertical members will be spaced so as to take into account the overhead heating system and any vertical columns that might affect the storage system. Shelves will be a minimum of 48 inches deep. All racks will have four (4) shelves each, which will allow floor stacking and then four (4) more shelves. The aisle between the 40-foot run and the ends of the 8-foot runs will be at least 11 feet wide. The shelving area requirements will be as follows: 1 each double?sided run not more than 38 feet, 1 each single run not more than 38 feet, 1 ea ch single run not more than 40 feet, 3 each double runs of 8 feet, 1 each, single run of 9 feet or to equal the length of the sections used in the 38-foot run, a minimum 42-inch fire escape aisle will be maintained for the rear fire exit door. Prices f or items 0001 and 0002 to include installation. Desired delivery is 45 days after award. Required delivery is 75 days after award.
