Description
NAICS Code: 212311 Using procedures set forth in FAR Part 12 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to purchase Landscape Boulders to be placed along the perimeter of two buildings in the Detroit Metropolitan area. The two buildings are located adjacent to each other and require these boulders due to recent changes in National Security requirements. The EPA requires a contractor to obtain and place Landscape Boulders along the perimeter of both buildings to provide additional safety to staff and Government property. The landscape boulders shall be a MINIMUM of 36 inches in diameter to a MAXIMUM of 60 inches in diameter, generally round in shape. After placement, the landscape boulders shall be a MINIMUM of 31 inches in height to a MAXIMUM of 48 inches in height above the ground. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor and equipment to place the landscape boulders on the property identfied above as directed by the Project Officer. There shall be a MAXIMUM of 48 inches of separation between each landscape boulder. The contractor shall not place the landscape boulders on walkways or driveways. The contractor shall complete placement of all landscape boulders by October 1, 2002. The EPA has an estimated 1,780 feet to cover with these Landscape Boulders. The EPA has estimated the need to be approximately 255 boulders. However, a reduction or addition may be necessary to cover the required area depending on size of boulders. This is a Total Small Business Set-aside (See Note 1). Sources wishing to be considered should submit documentation to receive the RFQ by close of business 7/12/02. Quotations will be due on 7/26/02. We are expecting award of this contract by early-August 2002, with completion of landscape boulder placement by October 1, 2002.
