Description

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for the repair of a Gantry Crane located at Shasta Lake California. The estiamted range for this procurement is between $1 million and $5 million. The SIC Code is 1629, the IPDS Code is Z-211. The principal features of the work to be performed under these specifications include the following: a. Paint machine room interior ceiling and walls. b. Paint operator's cab interior ceiling and walls. c. Furnish and install new windows for the operator's cab. d. Furnish and install new 500-gallon propane tank. e. Furnish and install new wire ropes for the 125-ton hoist. f. Furnish and install an automatic rope winder. g. Furnish and install one new 140kW engine-generator set. h. Furnish and install new 25-ton hoist enclosure covers. i. Clean, lubricate, and inspect all existing sheaves, and gears for the 125-ton hoist main hook assembly. j. Clean, lubricate, and inspect all existing sheaves, wire rope, and gears for the 25-ton hook assembly. k. Furnish and install one new heater unit. l. Furnish and install a main hoist slack cable device. m. Test and certify the crane. n. Furnish and install platform for the 500-gallon propane tank. o. Remove existing motor-generator set. p. Furnish and install DC variable speed drives for the main hoist, auxiliary hoist, auxiliary trolley, and gantry systems. Remove existing control system. q. Furnish and install new 480-volt 3-phase and 120/240-volt single phase circuit breaker panels, a new 480-120/240-volt transformer, a new 200-ampere, Solicitation No. 02SI202040 Specification No. 20-C0530 480-volt, 3-phase transfer switch, and a reversing AC drive system for an existing 7.5 horsepower motor. Remove existing panels. r. Furnish and install eight new 100-watt high pressure sodium outdoor flood lights and miscellaneous wiring to lighting and GFI receptacle systems.
