Description

This is an amendment to a previous announcement. The purpose of Amendment 02 is to make clear the basis upon which the award decision will be made. The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for a fully found oceanographic research vessel charter. The period of performance is 18 ship days with cruise dates of August 5, 2002 through August 22, 2002, and with weather contingency dates of October 14, 2002 through October 31, 2002. Mobilization and demobilization will occur at point of departure, Panama City, Florida. The solicitation is RFQ # 02ERQQ0105. This acquisition will be made under the simplified acquisition threshold. The anticipated award date is July 11, 2002. Questions regarding the solicitation may be directed to Melissa Gill by e-mail address mgill@usgs.gov. Quotes are due July 8, 2002 on or before close of business. All responsible sources who have a valid Dun and Bradstreet Number may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Only written requests for a copy of the amendment via e-mail to mgill@usgs.gov or fax to 703-648-7367 will be accepted. The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 4499.
